Today's Videoconferencing  technology allow users to connect globally, increase revenues, improve productivity, reduce costs, and increase their levels of customer service. In the financial world organizations must stay abreast to the latest technologies available to gain any advantage possible over the competition. Technology such as customer kiosks, video tellers, and video call centers are now emerging.

New applications have had benefits that normally might not be achieved, example, ability to service more customers, improve customer satisfaction and provide a higher quality of service. Now loans for mortgages, autos, college, etc can be pre-qualified remotely or being able to meet with a representative for investment advice can be achieved. Not to mention all the new accounts that can be assisted or set up remotely. This new method of banking also helps to keep a personal touch that can get lost in today's world. Meetings can now be held more often and include more participants that normally would not be able to attend, without having to travel or have additional expenses. Through the use of Bridging many participants from locations all over the world may participate in conferences, for example, instead of meeting annually at one location where everyone is gathered, add to that annual meeting 3 other meeting by video, now meetings are now quarterly although still having a  personal meeting.

Quick and more accurate decisions can be made such as a negotiator being able to data collaborate with an attorney. Not to be overlooked is the training aspect. Training can be time consuming and expensive, now training can be done remotely to multiple locations simultaneously. Having your expert speak to so many while not having to travel can be a decisive advantage.
