Adding peripherals to your videoconferencing equipment can give new elements and features to your existing systems. Items such as document cameras, scan converters, VCR, as well as many other devices are available depending on the type of codec you may have. To give a brief background on actually what some of these devices do, we have provided a description listed below.

Document Camera, can display items such as papers, objects and really anything that will fit under its lens. Using features such as zoom you can focus on certain elements of your item and send the image to the other side over your existing connection.

Scan Converters, allows a user to send the image off a computer. This is common in meetings where presenters bring a laptop for a powerpoint presentation, through the scan converter the image can be seen locally as well as shown to the remote side.

VCR, works as an input to your videoconferencing system. It can be used to record a conference or play a videotape for viewing to the near end and far end.
